Target + Neiman Marcus = Not So "Legendary Partnership"

So as a former Neiman Marcus employee, I am a bit salty that no one thought of this idea when I could utilize my discount...but its okay! It seems that Target and Neiman Marcus would be the perfect collaboration for shoppers this holiday season, but the numbers are proving a little different. The Wall Street Journal, "expressed surprise that crowds weren't bigger and sales not stronger at many locations, despite a spate of high-profile advertising, including prime-time television commercials."

Many Target consumers were expecting to see empty racks in the store and sold out signs online, similar to the Missoni buying frenzy last holiday season. Contrary to popular belief, most of the items are still available...Target reps say that this holiday collection was better stocked than the Missoni.

The holiday collection is comprised of 50 items ranging from clothing to pet accessories from 24 designers. Please see a few photos I snagged while visiting Target this weekend!

Met Gala Moments...The Glamour, the Gawdy, and the Grotesque

Photo Courtesy of Buzzle  While most of the country was enjoying a tasty margarita or two for Cinco de Mayo, the who's who in entertainment and fashion graced the red carpet at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York last night for the "Oscars of Fashion." The Met Gala marks the opening of the Costume Institute's fashion exhibition...this year's theme was a tribute to designer Charles James. The color(s) of the evening seemed to be my favorite...Black and White, but th ere were definitely some AWE and AWFUL moments! Check out some of the fabulous photos and my thoughts below: Dimitrios Kambouris / Getty Images Larry Busacca / Getty Images Photo Courtesy of Fashion Bomb Photo Courtesy of Fashion Bomb THE GLAMOUR  - Of course Beyonce looked fabulous in this Givenchy gown...serving a little goth couture! - Rihanna looked gorgeous in this white Stella McCartney look. She's the only one that can make a crop top = couture. -
