Event of the Month: Mimi Faust hosts BE Magazine No Wire Hangers Fashion Show

[VIDEO RECAP] Special thanks to Nikki Walker PR for inviting msBOMB.com out to the No Wire Hangers Trios Fashion Show in Atlanta earlier this month. I have been to my share of Atlanta fashion shows, but the BE Magazine staff did a phenomenal job with the selection of everyone from the designers to the models and the performers. Mimi Faust of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta served as the MC for the evening and brought along a few of her fellow cast mates to partake in the evening. Although Mr. “Steebie” J stayed just long enough to show Mimi a little love and land a hug, “Prince” Scrappy stood along the sidelines to watch his daughter Imani and beau Erica grace the runway in pieces by Women’s Wear designer AVNAH. DJ Kelo kept the audience entertained, but when Ms. Vina Mills stepped on that stage to perform her new single, “Love Em Good,” the crowd was definitely amped up. A Bite Out of Diabetes

Over 26 million people are affected by diabetes in the U.S. alone and with obesity trending at an all-time high the CDC projects that another 79 million are at risk. Diabetes, as with most diseases, is completely preventable and unbeknownst to many of those affected by the disease, it is completely reversible. Diabetes is caused when high levels of glucose are in the blood and the pancreas cannot sufficiently produce enough insulin, a hormone that helps the body absorb the glucose and use it for energy. This explains why diabetes patients may feel fatigued and suffer from obesity and other ailments such as heart disease and high blood pressure because essentially, their body is not digesting food nutrients properly. Diabetes can be hereditary, "but as the saying goes, genes load the gun and lifestyle pulls the trigger". White House True Love

What is true love?  This is definitely an open ended question because it depends on who is asked.   Some may say it’s the things a couple can provide for one another financially, spiritually, emotionally, and physically.   Others may say say it’s the loving look or the soft touches that’s exchanged between the two.   It can also be argued it's all of those things combined plus some.   On Tuesday, as I watched and listened to President Obama accept another term, I hung onto his every word.   Suddenly, I felt an instant chill as he addressed his lovely wife with the following words: “To Michelle: Let me say this publicly. I have never loved you more. I have never been prouder of watching the rest of America fall in love with you too as our nation's First Lady.” The way his eyes lit up and the passion in his voice touched my heart.   Over the past four years, we have watched the soft embraces exchanged by the lovely couple and heard the loving words to pass through their lip
