Lunching with Tami & Toya

On Monday afternoon, I had the pleasure of attending a fabulous blogger luncheon hosted by celebrity blogger Talking with Tami at Strip Restaurant in Atlantic Station! I love meeting such positive women that don't mind sharing their secrets to success, especially in such a cliquish city!

Tammie discussed everything from designing your blog to securing media credentials   for red carpet events. She even shared her personal journey, which includes rejection and financial hardship.

Wanting attendees to experience a moment in her shoes, Tammie conducted a one on one interview with the gorgeous Toya Wright! I can honestly say that before this interview, I didn't know much about Mrs. Toya; other than the fact that she married Memphitz last year and that she is the mother of Lil Wayne's daughter. Boy was I underestimating this lady!

From the moment I spotted her phenomenal pair of electric blue Sergio Rossi pumps and Chanel bag, I knew she was about her business. As the owner of a prominent boutique in New Orleans, the writer of a New York Times bestseller, and the designer behind a new clothing line for Walmart; Toya Wright is proving to be quite the entrepreneur. Toya also set the record straight, addressing allegations against her husband and a certain L&HHA star.

In addition to the wonderful conversation, we enjoyed an amazing 3-course menu and left with a bag full of goodies!

Tribute to Maya Angelou, The Phenomenal Woman

Today we said goodbye to one of the greatest orators of all time! Dr. Maya Angelou has served as an inspiration to millions through her words, actions, and commitment to civil rights. She was a living legend and her influence on our culture is priceless. Most noted for her poems, "Phenomenal Woman" and "Still I Rise," she instilled a sense of pride in women everywhere. In addition to these noted works, Maya Angelou has set the standard by being: - San Francisco's 1st African American female cable car conductor - 1st African American Woman to have her screenplay turned to film, Georgia I remember the first time I was introduced to Dr. Angelou's story in 4th grade. I'm not sure if I was suppose to be reading it, but my older sister had "I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings" laying around. All I could say was WOW! How could a girl just a few years older than me go through so much. From that point, I began to appreciate life and all that God ha...

Event of the Month: Mimi Faust hosts BE Magazine No Wire Hangers Fashion Show

[VIDEO RECAP] Special thanks to Nikki Walker PR for inviting msBOMB.com out to the No Wire Hangers Trios Fashion Show in Atlanta earlier this month. I have been to my share of Atlanta fashion shows, but the BE Magazine staff did a phenomenal job with the selection of everyone from the designers to the models and the performers. Mimi Faust of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta served as the MC for the evening and brought along a few of her fellow cast mates to partake in the evening. Although Mr. “Steebie” J stayed just long enough to show Mimi a little love and land a hug, “Prince” Scrappy stood along the sidelines to watch his daughter Imani and beau Erica grace the runway in pieces by Women’s Wear designer AVNAH. DJ Kelo kept the audience entertained, but when Ms. Vina Mills stepped on that stage to perform her new single, “Love Em Good,” the crowd was definitely amped up. I love any event that combines my two loves: fashion and philanthropy, so I was proud to see that 40 Girls and Som...
